Tour Plan

01 Arrival in Helsinki

Arrive in Helsinki according to your personal travel schedule. Once in the Finnish capital, you'll experience a unique blend of modern culture shaped by 450 years of Eastern and Western influences, while retaining a cozy, small-town atmosphere, despite Greater Helsinki's population of over 1.3 million. You’ll spend the night in Helsinki.

02 Overnight Train to Kemi

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, spend your day at leisure in Helsinki. Recommended attractions include the Helsinki Cathedral, Sibelius Monument, the Rock Church, Finlandia Hall, and the Suomenlinna Maritime Sea Fortress. In the evening, board an overnight train to Kemi.

Accommodation: Onboard the overnight train with private facilities.

03 Kemi - Sampo Ice Breaker Experience

Arrive in Kemi in the morning. Enjoy complimentary entry to SnowExperience365 and the winter activity park for the entire day. A shuttle will take you to the SnowCastle area for a 4-hour Sampo Ice Breaker cruise, including a welcome drink, lunch onboard, a guided tour, and a diploma. There’s also an option for ice floating during the excursion (minimum height: 1.45m).

Accommodation: In Kemi.

04 Train from Kemi to Rovaniemi

After breakfast, board a train to Rovaniemi. The scenic journey takes approximately one hour. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation.

05 Discovering Rovaniemi - Santa Claus' Hometown

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and spend the day at your leisure in Rovaniemi. Consider visiting the Santa Claus Village to meet Santa, visit his post office, and immerse yourself in the festive spirit. For those seeking adventure, numerous winter activities are available, such as reindeer and dog sledding safaris.

06 Departure from Rovaniemi

Following breakfast, depart Rovaniemi according to your own itinerary. You may extend your stay in Rovaniemi by opting for an overnight stay in a glass igloo or an ice hotel cabin. Other options include returning to Helsinki by overnight train or traveling to Inari, Kakslauttanen in Finnish Lapland, or Tromsø in northern Norway by bus.
