Wander to Piazza della Rotonda to see the Pantheon, the best-preserved ancient Roman temple. You could also head to Piazza Navona to admire Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. According to legend, one of the statues is positioned to avoid looking at the nearby church designed by Bernini’s rival, Borromini. If you’re curious to learn more, private guided tours are available. Dinner is included at a restaurant in the vibrant Trastevere neighborhood, a hotspot for Roman nightlife. We'll take care of the reservation and transfer to the restaurant, but you'll return to your hotel on your own for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, get ready for a full day of exploration. Our driver will take you to Vatican City for an exclusive guided tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Admire masterpieces by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, and others. Then, head to the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo’s ceiling frescoes and The Last Judgment. After some free time for lunch (not included), visit the Colosseum with a professional guide. Explore the bloody history of the arena and marvel at the nearby Arch of Constantine and Roman Forum. End the tour on Palatine Hill, where you'll hear the legend of Romulus and Remus. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at your leisure before your overnight stay.
